The gates to the stadium were opened at 5.30 am and guests were subjected to strict screening by security agencies led by the military. Regional Police Coordinator Larry Kieng has said no roads will be closed in Nyeri town to ensure smooth traffic flow. Additional traffic officers have been deployed in Nyeri town to guide motorists. Some of the guests expected at the venue are all ministry officials and opposition leaders.
