Tigers released into Queenstown, but all is well

Bangladesh squad members (from left) left-arm fast-bowler Shoriful Islam, right-arm fast-bowler Al-Amin Hossain, fielding coach Ryan Cook (standing) and batsman Mosaddek Hossain relax at the Queenstown Event’s Centre’s John Davies Oval yesterday morning during their first training session following quarantine. The Bangladesh team is not spending time looking back at the history books, but is instead determined to show what its cricketers are capable of. The team arrived in Queenstown on Wednesday night, where players were greeted by Queenstown Lakes Mayor Jim Boult. Yesterday morning, the side blew off the isolation cobwebs with its first training session at the Queenstown Events Centre’s John Davies Oval, ahead of its first ODI against the Black Caps at Dunedin’s University Oval next Saturday. The side would have an inter-squad match in Queenstown next Tuesday and would then head to Dunedin on Wednesday.
