Not withstanding the rising discontent among the smaller constituents of the Left Front against the Left-Congress alliance, State Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made it clear that the Congress will stay with the alliance. Mr. Chowdhury however, avoided a clear answer on whether the Congress would offer the post of the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to the Left Front.
