The deceased are Md Arif, 32, and Bibi Fatema, 4. Arif’s wife was detained by law enforcers and interrogated about the murders on Saturday. Sukanta Chakrabarty, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bandar police station, told Dhaka Tribune that they recovered the bodies around 9:30am on Saturday. Assistant Commissioner (port) Kamrul Hasan of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) said they have apprehended Arif’s wife, Hasina.
