NewsThree women who allegedly posed as Government officials in an attempt to commit a major financial fraud have been arrested by Homagama Police. Police Media Unit stated that the suspects had met with young men and women at a local temple last morning (10) and claimed to be officials holding senior positions in the State Service. Homagama Police were tipped-off about the incident and conduced a raid, arresting all three women. The suspects, aged 31, 34 and 44 years, are residents of Colombo 05, Himbutana and Jambugahapitiya. The suspects are due to be produced before the Homagama Magistrate's Court today (11).
