KOTA KINABALU: Three suspected criminals were killed in a shootout with police at a plantation in Sabah’s south eastern Tawau district. He said that police recovered a 5.536mm rifle, a revolver and a samurai sword as well as face masks, gloves and a car. He said a team of policemen from Tawau district headquarters began tailing the three suspects who were in a car at around 3.20am from the Kalabakan roundabout. On checking, they found the rear passenger with a rifle, the driver was armed with a revolver and the front passenger had a samurai sword on him, he said. They were found with no identity documents and were aged in their 40s.
