A helicopter with four people on board has crashed on to a golf course in rural Canterbury, police say. Three people sustained serious injuries in the crash and another one is in a moderate condition. The crash in Windwhistle, 80km west of Christchurch, was reported to police at 3.05pm, a spokeswoman said. A St John spokeswoman said crews were still on their way to the scene. Two crews each from the Hororata and Methven volunteer brigades have been sent to help, Southern Fire and Emergency shift manager Simon Lyford said.
