A Narayanganj court has handed down death penalties to three individuals in a case over the killing of a battery-run autorickshaw driver at Araihazar Upazila. Those sentenced to death are Akter Hossain, 30, Md Badshah, 35, and Saiful Islam, 37. The victim, Zaman Hossain, 45, was from Bagadi village in Fatehpur union of the Upazila. Prosecutor Azad said that on Mar 28, 2020, Zaman went missing after leaving his home in a battery-powered autorickshaw. He added that Zaman's brother, Zakir Hossain, had filed a murder case as the plaintiff in the incident.
