TAIPEI, Taiwan -- An unverified statement allegedly from the parents of Lin Yi-han, a best-selling author who was allegedly raped by her teacher, claims that three others were victims of their daughter's former teacher, according to reports on Saturday. The statement added that Lin had refused to reveal the victims' names in order to protect them. The statement continued that Lin's parents hoped their daughter's story could prevent future instances of sexual assault. As of press time, a total of three statements claiming to be from Lin's parents have been released, though only the first was issued through Lin's publisher Guerrilla Publishing. Lin's parents have yet to officially file a police report or speak to the media about their daughter's death and alleged rape.
