The 24ha site is a lush riot of greenery and includes several gardens, such as the camellia garden, bromeliad garden and the native forest. NewPlymouthNZ Pukekura Park was once swampland. Pukekura ParkRight in the head of New Plymouth is Pukekura Park, the jewel in the city’s crown. Larnach Castle GardensNew Zealand’s only castle also boasts some of the country’s best gardens. The specialised gardens include a patterned garden, lost rock garden and the Serpentine Walk as well as a rainforest.
