The newly constructed dam at Fakirdon collapsed at four points around 3pm on Saturday flooding six villages, Upazila Executive Officer or UNO Md Sohag Howlader told bdnews24.com. He said the three people went missing when the flood water washed away a house at East Sonarchar village. The UNO could not confirm their age. He said rescuers conducted the search operation using trawlers but failed to trace them. Water Development Board Sub-Assistant Engineer Abul Kalam said they heard about the damage to the dam.
