Three-member committee starts investigation into kidney racket

The three-member committee which was formed by District Collector K. Bhaskar to probe the alleged organ transplantation case at a city-based Sraddha Hospitals, commenced its investigation on Monday. The team had reportedly enquired about records of each and every transplantation case that the hospital has performed since its inception. MR Peta Inspector Kesava Rao said that the police are suspecting that Kumar Rao might have played a key role in the case. “As per our investigation, Kumar Rao was in the know of every transplantation that has been reportedly performed in the hospital. We are yet to ascertain how he (Kumar Rao) has managed to forge the documents, his links with the mediators and a few other issues,” Mr. Kesava Rao said.
