(CNN) Three people have been confirmed killed, and at least 40 others injured, after two bombs went off in eastern Turkey on Wednesday. First, car bomb exploded outside a police station in the eastern Turkish city of Van, according to Turkish state news agency Anadolu. Speaking after the attack, Van's deputy governor, Mehmet Parlak, said 38 of those injured were civilians while two were police officers. Anadolu said Kurdish militants were suspected of carrying out the attack. Less than 24 hours later, a second explosion took place near police headquarters in Elazig, according to a Turkish official.
