Guwahati, January 22 : At least three jawans were killed and two others injured while militants ambushed an Assam Rifles vehicle along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in Tinsukia district on Sunday morning. In the militants attack, five jawans were critically injured and they rushed to nearest government hospital. A top police source said that, three among the five injured jawans succumbed their injuries. Tinsukia district Superintendent of Police Mugdhajyoti Mahanta said that retaliation is going on and army chopper also used in the operation. In last year, at least three jawans were killed while the ULFA(I) militants ambushed on an Assam Rifles convoy in Tinsukia district.
