Three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car collision in the Manuka Gorge this morning. A police spokeswoman said they were called about 8.50am to the scene on State Highway 8 near Roundhill Rd, about halfway between Milton and Lawrence. Ambulance officers attended to a 74-year-old man with serious injuries at the scene, and two men in their thirties with moderate to serious injuries. The highway was closed for a time but has since reopened and all restrictions had been removed by 2.45pm. A reporter at the scene said the crash happened near the intersection with Manuka Hill Rd.
