Three persons were injured during a fracas that broke out at the meeting of the All Progressives Congress of Ife East Central Local Council Development Area, Modakeke, in Osun State. Investigations by the The PUNCH had revealed that eight people had initially been selected for community policing job in the town. Those listed were said to have been nominated by Muslim Community, Modakeke Progressive Union, Christian Association of Nigeria and some individuals in the town. But when contacted, Akande, said three persons including his Personal Assistant were seriously injured during the fight. Akande denied changing the list submitted by the community, adding the he was told to draw a list of five people which he did.
