more-inThree persons were taken into custody by the city police here on Thursday in connection with the acid attack on Boina Madhuri alias Madhavi. They are Kalavala Chandu, Adepu Anil and Rakesh – all auto drivers belonging to Sakarasikunta area of the city. After divorce with her maternal uncle, she married Chandu but later deserted him taking with her gold ornaments given by Chandu and was living with another person. When he pressed her for return of the gold ornaments, she allegedly threatened him. Enraged by her behaviour, he reportedly hatched a plan with his friends and attacked her with acid.
