The mandatory testing at Fung Chak House in Choi Wan Estate have found three residents contracted the coronavirus, after a study revealed that the sewage samples in the building constantly tested positive. The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 53 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – three imported and 50 local – bringing the tally to 8,725 cases. Among the 53 patients were 23 men and 33 women, aged between two months to 86 years. “The requirement for mandatory Covid testing has also been adjusted, once there are two or more units having infected patients, a mandatory testing order will be issued to the residents of the building. Mandatory testing orders have also been issued to residents and visitors of Wing Shui House at Lek Yuen Estate in Sha Tin and Lam Shek House at Ping Shek Estate in Choi Hung.
