KOTA KINABALU: Three electricians are fighting for their lives after being electrocuted while repairing a substation in Api-Api here late Wednesday (Nov 22). Kasim Lajim, 52, Nazarudin Alias, 28, and Haris 25, were rushed to the emergency ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital following the 10.40pm incident. A fire also broke out at the Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) substation following the incident. "Firemen managed to put the fire out not long afterwards," Sabah Fire and Rescue Department division operations chief Khatizah Rahaban said.
