Two shipments of bananas were seized by UK Border Force as they arrived at Portsmouth International Port from the Dominican Republic on Saturday January 20 and Friday January 26. Officers searched the shipments and discovered the drugs hidden within the cardboard packaging. They are due to appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates Court today (January 31). A Met spokesperson said: "Drugs ruin lives, that’s why the Met is committed to transforming how we keep communities safe. "
