The three were on the motorcycle when it collided head on with the MP's vehicle which was headed towards Nairobi at around 9pm. It is believed that the legislator’s Toyota Prado was speeding when his driver tried to overtake another vehicle. A scuffle ensued as motorcycle riders attempted to burn the MP's vehicle and threatened to lynch the occupants. Mr Roba was whisked away by his two bodyguards and his driver in another car leaving the damaged vehicle behind. The police boss however noted that no arrests were made as the occupants of the MP’s car fled the scene.
