Three more people have died of dengue in the past 24 hours, while 331 patients have been hospitalised nationwide as the death toll from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease rose to 73 so far this year. A total of 19,120 people have now been admitted to hospitals this year due to the disease. So far, 31 people have died of dengue in July, marking the highest monthly tally this year. The highest number of new patients admitted in the past 24 hours was in the Barishal Division, with 132. Currently, 1,354 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country with dengue, 370 in Dhaka, and 984 outside the capital.
