Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) took strict notice of the abuse of power committed by the traffic policemen and suspended them to ensure a fair investigation of the matter. All three motorcyclists were lashed with a belt by the wardens for flouting the ban on pillion riding owing to which they got seriously wounded. However, the New Town police gave a clean chit to the traffic personnel in the entire matter. This is the second case recently in the district where motorists have been beaten by the traffic personnel.
