Health Department authorities here heaved a sigh of relief on Tuesday as only three persons in the district tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the district dropped to 267 with 19 persons cured of the disease. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the district since March 7 has been put at 584 while the number of persons cured of the disease 316 as on Tuesday. A total of 291 persons, comprising patients and those with symptoms, have been admitted to the isolation wards of hospitals as on Tuesday evening. With this, 53 wards have been designated as containment zones in the district.
