Traffic congestion is heavy on State Highway 1 near Paekakariki after two separate early morning car crashes. Traffic flowing south into Wellington is at a stand-still as police and fire work to clear the road. Diversions are in place over the Paekakariki Hill Road and commuters are asked to be patient while the scene is cleared.
