NewsThree persons have been arrested by Galenbindunuwewa Police with three Buddha statues with Archaeological value. Police said officers made the arrest in the Upuldeniya area in Galenbindunuwewa following a tip-off that the suspects had Buddha statues of archeaological value in their possession. A 5cm tall brass statue weighing 69.9g, a 14cm tall marble statue weighing 464g and a 7cm tall brass statue weighing 149g were found by police from the suspects' possession. The arrested suspects are aged 28, 30 and 39 years of age. Galenbindunuwewa Police are conducting further investigations.
