Three people have been arrested for defrauding mobile money operators in Isiolo county. Mary Hinga, Samwel Ndirangu and Josephine Tanui were arrested by DCI detectives on Friday evening in Samburu county. DCI director George Kinoti said the operation to trace and arrest the suspects was launched following numerous complaints of Mpesa fraud in the county. Kinoti said the suspects approached mobile money operators as dealers. During the arrest, a motor vehicle make Toyota Vitz which the suspects have been using was confiscated.
