WRITER, woman in her 40sPicture: There are a lot of great movies in this category, and a lot of great movies that didn’t make this category. So I think I’m going to say Laura Dern for this one. Original screenplay: It was between “Parasite” and “Knives Out” for me, but Rian [Johnson] writes one hell of a screenplay. It was such a pleasure to see a movie in which kindness wins out, and I do appreciate that.
