Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel are responding to a house fire in Waikaka, Southland. Three adults and a young boy are uninjured after a fire at their rental property at Waikaka on Sunday morning. Fire and Emergency New Zealand were notified of the fire about 8.45am on Galway St. Two adults and the boy lived in one flat, while a man in his 20s or 30s was in the other. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said firefighters from Waikaka, Tapanui and Gore responded.
