An investigation in the crash had already been launched, Maj. Gen. Gebre Adhana Woldezgu, UNISFA’s acting head of mission and force commander, said. Around 4,500 Ethiopian military personnel support UNISFA's peacekeeping efforts in the region. Meanwhile, the Abyei remains disputed by Sudan and South Sudan.
