Three Egyptians drown off Libya coast of Sabratah


CAIRO – 12 July 2022: Three Egyptians were drowned off shore of Sabratah, western Libya, announced the Libyan Authorities on Monday evening. The Libyan National Safety Authority said that three Egyptians had drowned on Sunday, adding that one of the Egyptians was recovered and the other two people are still missing, Youm7 reported. In late February 2020, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2019, President Abdel Fatah al Sisi spoke about Egypt’s successful experience in controlling illegal immigration and countering terrorism, especially in Sinai. He added that Egypt did not ask for any aid from European countries, and managed on its own to stop illegal immigration. He explained that the Egyptian authorities were keen to end illegal immigration and curb the cases of illegal immigration deaths.
