The accident took place on Kasba-Kuti road in the upazila’s Shahpur area around noon on Saturday, said Md Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police Station. The dead have been identified as 18-year-old Md Faisal, 20-year-old Nurul Amin and 18-year-old Sajal Mian. Faisal was the publicity secretary of Ward-5 in Kuti Union, while Amin was the general secretary. “They were on their way to Kasba from Kuti on a motorcycle. A freight truck moving in the opposite direction hit their motorbike, killing Nurul on the spot, the OC said.
