Three 900kg roller doors stolen from construction site

Queenstown police believe a hiab or forklift was likely used to steal three roller doors and their motors from a construction site on Grant Road. Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said the burglary happened some time between September 24 and October 15. Each of the black doors, about 4.8 metres long, weighed about 900kg. "They definitely would have needed a vehicle to transport those and more than likely lift them.'' "Once inside they've let off fire extinguishers, broken shower doors [and] smashed GPS units.''
