Thousands to walk in aid of Pieta HouseFINAL preparations are underway for this year’s Darkness Into Light which takes place tomorrow morinrning 4.15am, in aid of suicide and self-harm crisis centre, Pieta House. “UCC is the second biggest event in Ireland, behind Darkness into Light in Phoenix Park, and we regularly have 5,000 people in attendance. We’ll have the guts of more than 100 volunteers at both the UCC and Ballyvolane walks alone,” he added. The charity relies on fundraising events to ensure their services can keep providing, Darkness Into Light being their flagship event.
