The massive crowd, estimated to be in the tens of thousands, was mostly made up of young people, marking a significant boost to the presidential bid of Dr. Bawumia. The huge turnout, analysts said on radio stations in the north, also indicates Dr. Bawumia's increasing support and momentum in the Northern Region. In the new Northern Region, which features Tamale Central and the Tamale Constituencies, the NPP shares the same number of seats as the NDC; 9 each, while the Bawumia factor has closed the presidential margin to almost 50-50. With Dr. Bawumia now standing as the main man, and not as a running mate, the dynamics have completely changed and the scale is expected to tilt in Bawumia's favour.
