The World Health Organisation ahead of the Day said it helps prevent lifestyle diseases and reduce the risk of depression. “It (Yoga) can help kids get the 60 minutes of daily activity (which is) needed to set up a lifetime of good health. “For persons aged 65 and above it can help reduce the risk of depression and maintain cognitive functioning”.
