Thousands join Bishwa IjtemaLakhs of Musallies offering Juma prayer on the first day of Bishwa Ijtema Maidan on the bank of Turag river in Tongi. bdnews24.com :The Bishwa Ijtema has formally started on the banks of Turag river in Tongi, overcoming a feud within Tabligh Jamaat. Later, the government permanently allocated 160 acres of land beside the river Turag for Ijtema. The two factions announced two different schedules for Bishwa Ijtema in January this year escalating the tension. Special management of traffic has been adopted for the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway to allow easy access to the Bishwa Ijtema.
