The main congregation at Dhaka's National Eidgah drew people from all walks of life on a sunny Monday morning. The special prayer started at the ground near Supreme Court on 8:30am, after Baitul Mukarram National Mosque held the first of its five congregations at 7:00am. President Md Abdul Hamid was seen in the row behind Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, the senior Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, who led the prayers at the Eidgah. The foreigner-aimed attack on Gulshan's Holey Artisan Bakery which left 22 dead during the fasting month was the deadliest in Bangladesh. The so-called Islamic State had claimed responsibility but the government has been denying their presence and instead blamed militant-linked killings to homegrown terror groups.
