Several houses were damaged by a fast-moving bushfire, one of 35 burning across the state of Victoria. Residents were told to close all doors, turn off air-conditioning systems and shelter in rooms with two exits. Fires in Bundoora, Victoria, one of 35 burning across the state APAnge Vlahopoulos, who lives in the north of Melbourne, watched as the fire approached his home. Then the wind just picked up and out of nowhere the whole area over the road was on fire.
