YONG PENG: Thousands are expected to throng the final leg of MCA's Jom Gerak Teguh Bersama carnival for this year to participate in a line up of activities at SJKC Yong Peng 1 here. The crowd started to file in as soon as registration counters opened during lunch time here on Saturday (Dec 16). The carnival was launched at about 2pm by MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who urged the people to come and join the two-day carnival with their families and friends. "On Sunday (Dec 17), the carnival will start as early as 8am with a dancing session followed by a ride, drift competition and a durian party in the afternoon," he added. Dr Wee noted that party president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai is expected to attend the closing ceremony which will also include a motivation session at 6.30pm on Sunday.
