Photo GettyThere is disappointment for southern fans hoping to party to George Thorogood & The Destroyers at Gibbston in January, as the US blues-rock legends have pulled out of the summer tour. Greenstone Entertainment, promoters of the sold-out Summer Concert Tour, have advised that, owing to a family illness, Thorogood and band ''will be unable to perform''. Calvert said they sent their best wishes to Thorogood and his band and family, ''and completely understand that family must come first''. The concerts will take place in Queenstown on January 20, Taupo on January 27 and Whitianga on January 28.
