StewartThomson Reuters said Wednesday it is buying media asset-management company Imagen, which it plans to operate as part of its Reuters News division to make it easier for customers to discover, access and manage content. The news and information service provider, which didn't disclose a value for the deal, said it signed a definitive agreement to acquire the cloud-native business. Imagen helps sports organizations, businesses and media companies manage digital content libraries through a customizable media management and distribution platform, Thomson Reuters said. It also owns Screenocean, a platform that provides production companies and others the ability to license video and photo content from around the world. Write to Robb M.
