Sadly, there will always be people like Doctor Frank who are determined to continue eating flesh, regardless of the suffering it inflicts on the innocent victims. But the worldwide increase in veganism demonstrates that many other thinking and caring people are putting justice ahead of momentary taste bud pleasure. As they learn about the tremendous cruelty being needlessly inflicted on animals raised for food they are choosing to shun all animal products and opting for a compassionate and healthy plant-based diet. Almost a century ago Thomas Edison wisely said, “Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. “Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.”His words are just as true today.
