Phoenix is a man who likes to experiment with his appearance, predominantly for his roles, and back in 2010, he starred in a faux documentary I'm Still Here which he took a little too seriously when cameras stopped rolling. Phoenix mightn't be part of tabloid culture save for the occasional appearance on the Daily Mail's 'sidebar of shame', but with three Oscar nominations under his belt, he can afford to be picky - and look however he likes.
