Lost among all the excitement over Trump’s conviction on all 34 criminal charges he faced in NY is another story:Just hours ago, President Joe Biden approved the cross-border use of U.S.-made weapons against targets inside Russia. Also note, that the types of munitions allowed to be used in these operations are limited too, and they do not include the much-vaunted ATACMS missile launch system. Nonetheless, it appears that NATO allies France and Belgium’s authorization of use of their supplied weaponry to strike targets in Russia may be nudging Biden to reconsider the level of use of American weapons he is willing to authorize. And perhaps, if Trump’s conviction begin to drag his polling numbers down, Biden will feel even less cautious…. It’s been an interesting day, that’s for sure!
