The company’s new initiative aims to support OEMs, operators, and platform providers in building next-generation mobile spatial computing devices, or XR viewers. These 5G enabled XR viewers aim to be sleek with lightweight form factors and high-resolution displays while offering inside-out 6DoF tracking. The XR viewers are designed to connect to Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 powered devices via USB-C tethers. The VR experience itself was streamed over 5G and allowed for 6DoF movement. The art park includes five fully immersive, 360-degree domes outfitted with surround sound to create a shared VR experience.
