This Is How Alien Volcanoes Make Their Own Hellish Snow

That got me thinking: is there anything that exists that could legitimately be referred to as volcanic snow? Both the north and south polar regions of the Red Planet have vast reserves of frozen carbon dioxide. Weirdly, water snow on Mars has only recently been discovered. So that’s one way to get volcanic snow, but fortunately, there’s a far more direct and exciting compound that we already know for a fact falls as snow: sulphur dioxide. I’d argue that considering how common volcanoes are, volcanic snow is more common than regular, silly water-based snow.
