Today, as we mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we should jettison the narrowly European geography of commemoration. Across French North Africa, Jews were banned from most professions. ADADOn the far end of the Middle East, in Iraq, it was a local regime that ignited anti-Jewish violence. There was no war without hate in North Africa and the Middle East.
