This column expected members of the House Freedom Caucus to ultimately embrace tax and spending cuts in the neighborhood of a trillion dollars each, plus an end to federal funding of Planned Parenthood. Now that the White House is expressing its willingness to work with Democrats on health care reform, Freedom Caucus members may deeply regret their decision to oppose the Ryan plan.
