With its latest effort, American Jihadi, the audio group is showing that it’s not going to be pigeon-holed into doing the expected. Endeavor has launched 11 new podcasts in the past nine months, all of them owned or co-owned by the company. But dramatic presentations such as Jihadi offer potential for the agency to create spin-off television shows or movies. Although Endeavor Audio (which is not part of the parent company’s official production arm, Endeavor Content) has flown under the radar, the WGA said in a statement that they consider podcast production to be a conflict of interest as well. As the the two sides fight it out, Endeavor Audio is forging ahead.
